Here’s a cozy recipe for Warm Baked Apple Fritters — soft, tender bites filled with cinnamon-spiced apples, baked instead of fried for a lighter treat!


🍎 Warm Baked Apple Fritters

Servings: 6 | Prep Time: 15 min | Bake Time: 20–25 min


Ingredients:

  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Fuji), peeled, cored, and finely diced

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil

Optional glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1–2 tbsp milk

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease lightly.

  2. Prepare dry ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. Mix wet ingredients:
    In another bowl, beat together milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.

  4. Combine:
    Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir gently until just combined. Fold in diced apples.

  5. Spoon batter:
    Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 2 tbsp each) onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  6. Bake:
    Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.

  7. Optional glaze:
    Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm fritters.


Tips:

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle a bit of sugar on top before baking.

  • Try adding a pinch of nutmeg or ground cloves for warm spice notes.

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
