🥐 Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Sticks (4 Ingredients)

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4–6 slices of ham
  • 4–6 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional but gives a golden finish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Puff Pastry
    • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
    • Cut into strips about 1–1.5 inches wide.
  3. Add Filling
    • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each strip.
    • Fold or roll the pastry around the filling, pressing edges to seal.
  4. Optional Egg Wash
    • Beat the egg and brush lightly over the tops for a golden, shiny finish.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 12–15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Serve
    • Let cool slightly and serve warm.

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds before baking for extra flavor and crunch.
  • You can add mustard, herbs, or a pinch of black pepper inside for more flavor.
  • Great for freezing before baking: bake straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
