raw chicken breasts topped with two blocks of cream cheese

Posted on January 19, 2026 by Admin

If you’re wondering what to do with raw chicken breasts topped with cream cheese, here’s a safe, simple, and popular way to cook them (and make them actually taste great).

🍗 Cream Cheese–Baked Chicken Breasts

⚠️ First: food safety

  • Never eat raw chicken or raw cream cheese–topped chicken
  • Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 74 °C / 165 °F
  • Use a thermometer if possible

🧄 Easy Baked Version

Ingredients

  • 2 raw chicken breasts
  • 2 blocks (or ~200 g total) cream cheese, softened
  • Salt, black pepper
  • Garlic (fresh or powder)
  • Optional: spinach, herbs (thyme, parsley), paprika, bacon bits, cheddar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190 °C (375 °F)
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic
  3. Spread cream cheese evenly on top
    • You can mix it first with herbs or spinach for extra flavor
  4. Place in a lightly greased baking dish
  5. Cover loosely with foil
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes
  7. Remove foil, bake another 5–10 minutes until bubbling
  8. Check internal temp → 74 °C / 165 °F

Optional: Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for browning.

🥬 Variations

  • Spinach & garlic cream cheese (classic)
  • Bacon + cheddar on top
  • Mushroom cream cheese
  • Paprika & onion for a Hungarian-style flavor
