- Describe it as best you can:
- size (roughly?)
- material (metal, wood, plastic, glass?)
- any markings, numbers, or writing
- does it open, spin, have blades, needles, wires, etc.?
Old household items from grandparents’ drawers are often things like:
- sewing or knitting tools
- grooming items
- medical or hygiene tools
- kitchen gadgets no longer common
- small mechanical or measuring devices
Once I see it (or get a good description), I can usually tell you exactly what it is, what it was used for, and roughly how old it might be.
