Chocolate truffle

Here’s a simple, classic chocolate truffle recipe you can make at home with very few ingredients 🍫✨


🍫 Classic Chocolate Truffles (Easy)

Ingredients (4 only)

  1. 200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate (good quality, chopped)
  2. ½ cup heavy cream
  3. 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra smoothness)
  4. Cocoa powder (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Heat the cream
    Warm the cream until just about to simmer (don’t boil).
  2. Melt the chocolate
    Pour hot cream over chopped chocolate. Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  3. Add butter (optional)
    Stir in butter for extra shine and richness.
  4. Chill
    Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
  5. Shape & coat
    Scoop, roll into balls, and coat with cocoa powder.

🍬 Variations (optional)

  • Milk chocolate → sweeter, softer truffles
  • Flavor boost: vanilla, coffee, orange zest, rum
  • Coatings: chopped nuts, coconut, powdered sugar

Tips for perfect truffles

  • Use good-quality chocolate (60–70% cocoa)
  • If too soft, chill longer
  • If too firm, let sit 5 minutes before rolling
