Posted on February 2, 2026 by Admin

Perfect! 🍤🥬 Here’s a delicious, creamy Shrimp and Spinach Gratin recipe — golden on top, tender inside, and surprisingly easy to make.

🥘 Shrimp and Spinach Gratin

⏱ Time

  • Prep: 15 minutes
  • Cook: 20–25 minutes
  • Serves: 2–4

🧈 Ingredients

  • 300 g (10 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 200 g (7 oz) fresh spinach (or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 ml (¾ cup) cream (or milk for lighter version)
  • 50 g (½ cup) grated cheese (Gruyère, Parmesan, or cheddar)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg or chili flakes

🥣 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.

2. Cook the shrimp

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
  • Sauté shrimp 2–3 minutes until just pink. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the spinach

  • In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft
  • Add spinach and cook until wilted (fresh) or heated through (frozen)
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg

4. Make the creamy base

  • Add cream to the spinach-onion mixture
  • Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened
  • Stir in half of the grated cheese

5. Combine and transfer

  • Mix shrimp back into the spinach-cream mixture
  • Pour into a greased baking dish
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese on top

6. Bake

  • Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly

7. Serve

  • Let cool 2 minutes
  • Serve hot with crusty bread or a light salad

✨ Tips

  • Extra flavor: add a splash of white wine to the cream before baking
  • Low-carb version: skip breadcrumbs; cheese topping adds crunch
  • Make ahead: Assemble, refrigerate, and bake just before serving

If you want, I can also give a fancier version with a crispy parmesan topping and garlic butter breadcrumbs, perfect for impressing guests.

Do you want me to do that?
