How to Remove Bleach Stains from Fabrics with 2 Tricks

Posted on February 3, 2026 by Admin

Bleach stains are tricky because the color is gone, not dirt—but there are ways to minimize or fix them. Here are two effective tricks:

Trick 1: Fabric Marker or Dye

Best for: Small spots or patterns.

Steps:

  1. Choose a fabric marker, permanent marker, or fabric dye that closely matches the garment color.
  2. Carefully color over the bleached area.
  3. Let it dry completely before wearing or washing.

✅ Works best on small stains and dark fabrics.

Trick 2: Re-dye the Fabric

Best for: Large stains or multiple areas.

Steps:

  1. Pick a fabric dye suitable for your material (cotton, polyester, etc.).
  2. Follow the package instructions to dye the entire garment so the color evens out.
  3. Wash and dry as directed.

✅ This is great for bigger bleach spots or if you want to give your garment a fresh, uniform color.

💡 Extra Tip: For very small or tricky spots, you can also apply a patch, embroidery, or fabric paint to creatively cover the stain.

If you want, I can also show a quick home trick that lightens the surrounding area to make bleach stains less visible—it’s kind of a reverse hack!

Do you want me to show that too?
