Here’s a delicious Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken recipe — crunchy on the outside, sticky-sweet and savory on the inside 🍯🍗

🍯🧄 Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken

📝 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1½–2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 1 cup cornstarch (for crispiness)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Oil for frying

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (slurry to thicken)
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken

  • Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Dip each piece into beaten eggs.
  • Coat well in cornstarch.

2️⃣ Fry Until Crispy

  • Heat oil in a skillet (medium-high).
  • Fry chicken in batches 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

(For extra crispiness: double fry — fry once, rest 5 minutes, then fry again 1–2 minutes.)

3️⃣ Make the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, water, and vinegar.
  • Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in cornstarch slurry.
  • Cook until thick and glossy.

4️⃣ Toss & Serve

  • Add crispy chicken to the sauce and toss quickly.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.

🍚 Serve With:

  • Steamed rice
  • Stir-fried vegetables
  • Noodles

🔥 Lighter Option

Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20–25 minutes or air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 14–16 minutes instead of deep frying.
