  • ½ cup milk

Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

1️⃣ Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line a 9×5 loaf pan.

2️⃣ Apple Filling

  • Toss diced apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.

3️⃣ Make Batter

  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet alternately with milk. Mix until just combined.

4️⃣ Layer & Swirl

  • Pour half the batter into the pan.

  • Sprinkle half the brown sugar–cinnamon mixture.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Use a knife to gently swirl.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 15 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack.

6️⃣ Glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  • Drizzle over slightly warm bread.

  • Don’t overmix the batter.
  • Dice apples small for even distribution.
  • Tent loosely with foil if browning too quickly.

✨ Make It Extra Fritter-Like
