Here’s a classic Creamy Crab-Style Seafood Salad — cool, creamy, and perfect for sandwiches, crackers, or lettuce cups.


🦀 Creamy Crab-Style Seafood Salad

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb imitation crab meat (or real lump crab, chopped)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tbsp sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, subtle tang)
  • 1 celery stalk, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp red onion, very finely minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Pinch of paprika (optional)

🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Crab

  • Chop imitation crab into bite-sized pieces (or shred gently by hand).

2️⃣ Mix the Dressing

  • In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon, and lemon juice.
  • Stir until smooth.

3️⃣ Add Crunch & Flavor

  • Mix in celery, red onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.

4️⃣ Fold in the Crab

  • Gently combine until coated — don’t overmix.

5️⃣ Chill

  • Refrigerate at least 30–60 minutes before serving for best flavor.

🥪 How to Serve

  • On toasted sandwich rolls
  • In croissants
  • Over mixed greens
  • In lettuce wraps
  • With crackers
  • Stuffed in avocados

🌶️ Optional Add-Ins

  • Old Bay seasoning (½ tsp)
  • Chopped dill pickles or relish
  • A dash of hot sauce
  • Diced cucumber for freshness
  • Hard-boiled egg (for deli-style richness)

❄️ Storage

  • Keep refrigerated in airtight container
  • Best within 2–3 days
