Here’s a creamy, flavorful Garlic Mashed Potatoes recipe — perfect as a side for any meal 🥔🧄

🥔 Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 4–5 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/2 cup milk (or cream for extra richness)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Boil Potatoes & Garlic

  • Peel and cut potatoes into even chunks.
  • Place potatoes and whole garlic cloves in a pot of cold salted water.
  • Bring to a boil, then simmer 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender.

2️⃣ Drain & Mash

  • Drain water and return potatoes and garlic to the pot.
  • Mash using a potato masher, ricer, or hand mixer.

3️⃣ Add Butter & Milk

  • Warm milk slightly.
  • Add butter and milk gradually while mashing until smooth and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

4️⃣ Optional Garnish

  • Sprinkle with fresh chives or parsley.
  • Serve hot.

💡 Tips

  • Roast garlic first for a sweeter, milder flavor.
  • For ultra-creamy texture, use half-and-half or heavy cream.
  • Mix in grated Parmesan or cream cheese for extra richness.

If you want, I can also give a garlic mashed potato variation with roasted garlic and herbs that’s restaurant-quality creamy and full of flavor.
