Instructions
1. Make the Dough
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Mix in egg yolk, milk, and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
2. Shape Cookies
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in chopped pecans.
3. Make the Thumbprint
- Place on a lined baking sheet and press a small indentation in the center with your thumb.
4. Bake
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
- If the centers puff up, gently press them again after baking.
5. Add Caramel
- Spoon melted caramel into each cookie center.
6. Drizzle Chocolate
- Drizzle melted chocolate over the cookies.
