Amish Honey Glazed Carrots

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Amish Honey-Glazed Carrots—sweet, tender, and perfect as a side dish for any meal. 🥕🍯


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Carrots, peeled and sliced into sticks or rounds
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tsp Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the carrots

  • Place carrots in a pot of boiling water.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until just tender but still firm.
  • Drain well.

2. Make the glaze

  • In the same pot or a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in honey, salt, and pepper.

3. Glaze the carrots

  • Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
  • Cook for another 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed and heated through.

4. Serve

  • Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.

✅ Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of Cinnamon or a squeeze of Lemon juice.
  • You can also roast the carrots in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes, then drizzle with honey and butter for a slightly caramelized version.

This dish pairs wonderfully with Roast chicken, Pork chops, or Holiday meals.
