Here’s a warm, creamy, cheesy casserole that’s easy to make and super satisfying—perfect as a side or even a main dish.


🧀 Cheesy Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4–5 medium potatoes (peeled, thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (for extra meltiness)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup cream (optional, but makes it richer)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  2. Make the sauce
    • Melt butter in a pan
    • Add garlic, cook for 1 minute
    • Pour in milk + cream
    • Stir in half the cheese until melted
  3. Layer the casserole
    • Grease a baking dish
    • Add a layer of potatoes
    • Pour some sauce
    • Repeat layers
  4. Top it off
    • Add remaining cheese on top
  5. Bake
    • Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes
    • Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly

  • Slice potatoes thin so they cook evenly
  • Add cooked chicken or vegetables to make it a full meal
  • Let it rest 5–10 minutes before serving (it thickens nicely)
