🥩 Ingredients

  • 300–400g beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but recommended)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (freshly ground for best flavor)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • Salt to taste

🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef
    • Toss sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper.
    • Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Cook the beef
    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan or wok over high heat.
    • Stir-fry the beef for 2–3 minutes until browned.
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry vegetables
    • In the same pan, add another tbsp oil.
    • Sauté garlic, then add onions and bell peppers.
    • Cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Combine everything
    • Return the beef to the pan.
    • Add oyster sauce, remaining black pepper, and broth.
    • Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve
    • Taste and adjust salt if needed.
    • Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Don’t overcook the peppers—they should stay slightly crunchy.
  • Add a dash of chili flakes if you like some heat.
