Pour condensed cream of chicken soup over raw sliced russet potatoes

Posted on April 2, 2026 by Admin

It sounds like you’re starting a creamy potato bake / casserole—nice and comforting. Here’s how to turn that into a complete dish:

🥔 Creamy Chicken Soup Potato Bake

Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ½–1 cup milk (to thin the soup)
  • 1 small onion (sliced, optional)
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • 1–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar works great)
  • Butter or oil (for greasing)

👨‍🍳 Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease a baking dish lightly.
  3. Layer the potatoes
Add a layer of sliced potatoes, then onions (if using), and sprinkle seasoning.
  4. Make the sauce
Mix the condensed soup with milk until smooth.
  5. Assemble
Pour some sauce over each potato layer. Repeat layers.
  6. Top it off
    Add cheese on top.
  7. Bake covered for 45–60 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and tender.

💡 Tips

  • Slice potatoes thin (important so they cook through)
  • Add cooked chicken or mince to make it a full meal
  • A little paprika or black pepper on top gives a nice finish

If you want, I can turn this into a one-pan meal with chicken or a crispy gratin-style version.
