That claim is misleading. Not every washing machine can dry clothes.
🧺 The reality
Washing machines generally come in three types:
1) Basic washing machines (no drying)
- Only wash and spin
- Clothes come out damp
- You still need to air-dry them
2) Washer-dryer combo machines
- Can wash and dry in the same unit
- Use heat + tumbling to dry clothes
- Often take longer and use more electricity than separate machines
3) High-spin “drying assist” machines
- Spin very fast to remove extra water
- Clothes feel less wet, but are not actually dry
⚠️ Where the confusion comes from
People often think:
- “Spin cycle = drying”
But spin only:
- removes water mechanically
- does NOT use heat
- does NOT fully dry clothes
So clothes still need air or sun drying afterward.
🔍 Bottom line
- ❌ Not every washing machine can dry clothes
- ⚠️ Most only reduce moisture
- ✅ Only washer-dryer models truly dry laundry
If you want, tell me your machine model or show a photo of the control panel, and I can tell you exactly what functions it actually has.
