Fried zucchini

Here’s a simple, crispy, and delicious recipe for Fried Zucchini — perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish!


🥒 Crispy Fried Zucchini

⭐ Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced into ¼-inch rounds (or strips)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2–3 eggs, beaten

  • 1–1½ cups breadcrumbs

    • Use Italian, panko, or a mix for extra crunch

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but recommended)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola works well)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Zucchini

  • Wash and slice zucchini into rounds or sticks.

  • Pat dry with a paper towel so the coating sticks well.


2. Prepare Your Breading Stations

Set up 3 shallow bowls:

1️⃣ Flour + salt + pepper
2️⃣ Eggs, beaten
3️⃣ Breadcrumbs + Parmesan + garlic powder + paprika


3. Bread the Zucchini

Dip each piece:

  1. In flour, shake off excess

  2. In egg

  3. In breadcrumb mixture

Press lightly to help the crumbs stick.


4. Fry

  • Heat ½ inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  • When hot, add zucchini in a single layer — don’t overcrowd.

  • Fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  • Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.


5. Season & Serve

Sprinkle with a little salt while hot.
Serve with:

  • Ranch

  • Marinara

  • Garlic aioli

  • Spicy mayo

  • Tzatziki


⭐ Variations You’ll Love

Air Fryer Fried Zucchini

  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Lightly spray with oil for best crispiness.

Beer-Battered Zucchini

Use a batter of:

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup cold beer

  • ½ tsp salt
    Dip & fry directly — super light and crispy.

Zucchini Fries

Slice into sticks, bread the same way, fry or air fry.
