Posted on January 6, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for tortilla wraps with ground beef that you can make in about 20–30 minutes:

Ingredients (for 4 wraps)

  • 4 large tortillas
  • 500g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional, for spice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup cheddar or shredded cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
    • Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula.
    • Season with paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through (about 8–10 minutes).
  2. Prepare the Tortillas
    • Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for 10–15 seconds to make them soft and pliable.
  3. Assemble the Wraps
    • Lay out a tortilla.
    • Add a layer of cooked beef, some chopped lettuce, diced tomato, and bell peppers if using.
    • Sprinkle with cheese.
    • Add a spoonful of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  4. Wrap It Up
    • Fold the sides over the filling, then roll from the bottom up.
    • Serve immediately while warm.

Tips for Extra Flavor

  • Add avocado slices or guacamole for creaminess.
  • Sprinkle some hot sauce or salsa for extra kick.
  • You can also grill the wrapped tortillas lightly on a pan for a crispier texture.

If you want, I can also give you a 5-minute version that’s even faster for busy days, with a twist that makes it taste restaurant-style.
