Lemon Dump Cake

Posted on January 6, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious Lemon Dump Cake recipe—it’s called “dump” cake because you literally dump the ingredients together, no mixing required! 🍋✨

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) lemon pie filling
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), sliced thinly
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick spray.

2. Layer the Ingredients

  1. Dump the entire can of lemon pie filling into the baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the lemon filling.
  3. Place butter slices evenly on top of the cake mix.

3. Bake

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.

4. Serve

  • Let it cool slightly before serving.
  • Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Tips & Variations

  • Add lemon zest on top before baking for extra citrus flavor.
  • Mix in blueberries or raspberries with the pie filling for a fruity twist.
  • Use cream cheese dollops for a richer, creamy layer.

💡 This dessert is perfect for last-minute gatherings because it’s fast, easy, and incredibly flavorful.

If you want, I can give a “tropical version” of dump cake using pineapple and coconut—also no-mix, super easy, and tastes amazing.

Do you want me to do that?
