Deviled eggs

Here’s a classic deviled eggs recipe—simple, reliable, and easy to customize 🥚

Ingredients (12 halves)

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard (or Dijon)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or pickle juice
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard-boil the eggs
    • Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water.
    • Bring to a boil, cover, remove from heat, and let sit 10–12 minutes.
    • Transfer to ice water and cool completely.
  2. Prep the eggs
    • Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise.
    • Remove yolks and place them in a bowl.
  3. Make the filling
    • Mash yolks until smooth.
    • Mix in mayo, mustard, vinegar/pickle juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill & garnish
    • Spoon or pipe filling into egg whites.
    • Sprinkle with paprika.

Easy Variations

  • Classic Southern: Add 1–2 tsp sweet pickle relish
  • Smoky: Smoked paprika + a dash of hot sauce
  • Fancy: Dijon mustard + chopped chives
  • Bacon Lover: Crumbled crispy bacon on top
  • Creamier: Replace 1 tbsp mayo with sour cream or Greek yogurt
