Here’s a tender, flavorful Crockpot Steak Bites recipe — easy to prep, rich in flavor, and perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or with crusty bread.


🥩 Crockpot Steak Bites

Serves: 4–6
Prep: 10 minutes | Cook: 3–4 hrs (HIGH) or 6–7 hrs (LOW)

Ingredients

  • 2–2½ lbs steak (sirloin, chuck, or stew beef), cut into 1½-inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter, cut into cubes
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 tbsp onion powder + 1 tsp beef bouillon)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • ½ cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Layer ingredients:
    Place steak bites in the crockpot. Sprinkle onion soup mix, garlic, pepper, paprika, and thyme over the meat.
  2. Add liquids & butter:
    Drizzle Worcestershire sauce and beef broth over everything. Top with butter cubes.
  3. Cook:
    • LOW: 6–7 hours (very tender)
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours (firmer but juicy)
  4. Finish:
    Stir gently before serving. Adjust salt if needed.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Mushrooms or pearl onions
  • Splash of soy sauce for extra umami
  • Red pepper flakes for heat

Serving Ideas

✔ In hoagie rolls
✔ Over rice or cauliflower rice


Tips for Best Steak Bites

  • Chuck = melt-in-your-mouth, sirloin = firmer but lean
  • Don’t overcook lean cuts
  • Add a cornstarch slurry in the last 30 minutes if you want a thicker sauce
