Instructions

  1. Sauté aromatics
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Cook onion until soft (~3 minutes), then add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  2. Brown the meat
    • Add ground beef or turkey.
    • Season with cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook until browned and crumbly, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add vegetables
    • Stir in chopped green chiles, tomato (or tomato sauce), and potatoes/peas if using.
    • Simmer 10–12 minutes until potatoes are tender and flavors meld.
  4. Finish & serve
    • Taste and adjust seasoning.
    • Garnish with cilantro or a squeeze of lime.
    • Serve over rice, in tacos, burritos, or stuffed peppers.
