Here’s a rich and satisfying recipe for Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce — juicy seared chicken, coated in a buttery garlic cream sauce, served over tender linguine. It’s indulgent, comforting, and weeknight-friendly!

🍝 Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine Alfredo

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Chicken:

  • 1½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs (thinly sliced or pounded)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for topping)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional, classic in Alfredo)

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine

  • Salt for pasta water

🔥 Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil linguine in salted water according to package directions until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water just in case the sauce needs thinning.

2. Season & Cook the Chicken:

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter.

  • Sear chicken for 4–6 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through.

  • Remove from pan and let rest. Slice into strips.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  • In the same pan (don’t wipe it!), reduce heat to medium.

  • Add butter and minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown it).

  • Stir in heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer (not a boil).

  • Add Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth and thickened — about 2–3 minutes.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg, if using.

4. Combine Everything:

  • Add drained linguine to the sauce. Toss to coat.

  • Add sliced chicken back into the skillet and spoon sauce over it.

  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.

5. Garnish & Serve:

  • Sprinkle with more Parmesan and chopped parsley.

  • Serve immediately with garlic bread or a green salad.

✅ Tips:

  • Want it spicy? Add red pepper flakes to the sauce.

  • Swap linguine with fettuccine, penne, or zoodles.

  • Add spinach, broccoli, or mushrooms for extra veggies.
