Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce

Posted on January 31, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes — Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce 🍝🐔 — basically restaurant-style comfort food you can make at home. Here’s a full, rich recipe that’s indulgent but surprisingly easy.

Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients (4 servings)

For the chicken

  • 1 lb (450 g) chicken breasts or thighs, thinly sliced or pounded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter for searing

For the pasta

  • 12 oz (340 g) linguine
  • Salted water for boiling

For the Alfredo sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt, to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ tsp nutmeg for a classic Alfredo touch
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook pasta

  • Boil linguine in salted water according to package instructions.
  • Drain and set aside (reserve ½ cup pasta water).

2. Cook chicken

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil/butter.
  • Cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Make Alfredo sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Sauté garlic 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in Parmesan gradually until smooth.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

4. Combine pasta and chicken

  • Add cooked linguine and chicken to the sauce.
  • Toss to coat; if too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately — creamy, garlicky, indulgent perfection!

Tips for Perfect Creamy Alfredo

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan — pre-grated often contains anti-caking agents that prevent smooth melting.
  • Don’t boil the sauce after adding cheese — it can clump.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or lemon juice to the sauce before tossing pasta.

Variations

  • Vegetable version: Add broccoli, peas, or spinach.
  • Spicy: Add crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Garlic butter crust: Sear chicken in garlic butter for extra flavor.

If you want, I can also give you a “one-pan version” where the pasta cooks in the sauce with the chicken — less cleanup, same creamy result 😄.

Do you want me to do that?
