Instructions

    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

  3. Prepare the batter:

    • Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

    • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

    • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

    • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

    • Fold in diced apples.

  4. Assemble the loaf:

    • Pour half the batter into the pan.

    • Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.

    • Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.

    • Lightly swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.

  5. Bake:

    • 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    • Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

  6. Optional glaze:

    • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together, then drizzle over cooled bread.
