Posted on October 19, 2025 by Admin

Here’s how to make a tray of freshly baked cheese bombs — golden, buttery, and oozing with melty cheese inside. Perfect for parties, snacks, or game day!

🧀 Tray of Freshly Baked Cheese Bombs

Yield: 16 cheese bombs | Prep Time: 15 mins | Bake Time: 15 mins
Total Time: ~30 mins

🛒 Ingredients:

For the Bombs:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
(or use homemade dough; see below)

  • 16 small cubes of mozzarella or cheddar (¾” each)

  • Optional: 16 slices of pepperoni, or cooked bacon bits for extra flavor

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning

  • Optional: grated Parmesan for topping

🥣 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Prepare the dough:

    • Separate biscuit dough into individual pieces.

    • Flatten each piece into a disc.

  3. Add the filling:

    • Place a cheese cube (and pepperoni or bacon if using) in the center.

    • Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal completely.

    • Roll into a ball and place seam-side down on the tray.

  4. Make the garlic butter:

    • Mix melted butter, garlic, and herbs in a small bowl.

  5. Brush and bake:

    • Brush each dough ball generously with garlic butter.

    • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

  6. Finish:

    • While hot, brush with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.

🍞 Optional Homemade Dough:

(Quick version)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup milk

  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter

Mix into a soft dough, knead briefly, and divide into 16 balls.

✅ Tips:

  • Serve immediately — they’re best hot with gooey centers.

  • Add a side of marinara or ranch for dipping.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven or air fryer.

Would you like a make-ahead version, a spicy twist, or a sweet variation (like Nutella bombs)?
