Bacon Cheddar Mini Cheese Balls

Posted on April 2, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious, bite-sized appetizer recipe for Bacon Cheddar Mini Cheese Balls—crispy outside, cheesy inside, and packed with flavor.

🧀 Ingredients (Makes ~20–25 mini balls)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4–5 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (or more if needed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying (or baking option)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Mix the Cheese Base

  • In a bowl, combine cheddar, cream cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in flour until the mixture can be rolled into balls without sticking.

2️⃣ Form Mini Balls

  • Scoop small amounts (~1 inch) and roll into balls with your hands.

3️⃣ Coat

  • Roll each ball in breadcrumbs for a crispy exterior.

4️⃣ Cook Options

Frying:

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry balls until golden brown, ~2–3 minutes per side.
    Baking:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Place balls on a greased tray and bake 12–15 minutes until golden.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Serve warm with ketchup, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.

💡 Tips

  • For extra flavor, add chopped chives or smoked paprika to the mixture.
  • You can make these ahead and freeze; just fry or bake straight from the freezer.
  • Mini version works great for parties, snacks, or game day.

If you want, I can make a lighter baked version with less cheese and bacon that’s still super flavorful for everyday snacking.
