Baked Apple Fritters

Posted on January 7, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious baked apple fritters recipe—light, tender, and healthier than fried versions! 🍎✨

Baked Apple Fritters

Ingredients (Makes 12 fritters)

Fritters

  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, diced)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup milk (any kind)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil

Optional Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: egg, milk, vanilla, melted butter.
  4. Combine wet and dry, then fold in diced apples until coated.
  5. Scoop fritters onto baking sheet (about 2–3 tbsp per fritter) and flatten slightly.
  6. Bake 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
  7. Optional glaze: whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; drizzle over warm fritters.

Tips for Best Baked Fritters

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp so they hold shape
  • Lightly dust the baking sheet with cinnamon for extra flavor
  • Serve warm with yogurt, honey, or maple syrup for breakfast or dessert

If you want, I can also give a “healthy version”:

  • Lower sugar
  • Whole wheat flour
  • Baked not fried
  • Keto or gluten-free options

Do you want me to do that?
