Cabbage and noodles

Cabbage and Noodles is a comforting, easy-to-make dish where softened cabbage is sautéed and tossed with noodles. It’s hearty, flavorful, and perfect as a side or main. 🥬🍝


Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 1 small Cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz Egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp Butter or oil
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1–2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Caraway seeds or paprika for extra flavor

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

  • Boil egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Sauté the Vegetables

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic; cook until softened.
  • Add cabbage, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and sauté until tender (8–10 minutes).
  • Optional: add caraway seeds or paprika for extra flavor.

3. Combine

  • Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the cabbage mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Serve

  • Serve hot as a side dish or a light main course.
  • Optional: top with grated Parmesan cheese or crispy bacon bits.

✅ Tips

  • For extra richness, stir in a splash of Cream or a pat of butter at the end.
  • Leftovers taste great reheated with a little butter or olive oil.
