canned peaches in a slow cooker

Posted on December 15, 2025 by Admin
Using canned peaches in a slow cooker is easy and turns them into a warm, dessert-style treat 🍑
Here are the best ways to do it, plus tips so they don’t turn mushy.

Slow Cooker Cinnamon Peaches (Simple & Delicious)

Ingredients

  • 2–3 cans peaches (sliced or halves)

  • ½–1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1–2 tbsp brown sugar or honey (optional)

  • 1 tsp vanilla (optional)

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)

  • Pinch of nutmeg or cloves (optional)

👉 Drain peaches halfway (keep some syrup for flavor but not all)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker.

  2. Add peaches and remaining syrup/juice.

  3. Sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, and spices over peaches.

  4. Add butter on top.

  5. Cover and cook:

    • LOW: 2–3 hours

    • HIGH: 1–1½ hours

Stir gently once if needed.

Serve With

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Pancakes or waffles

  • Oatmeal or yogurt

  • Pound cake or biscuits

Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler (Using Canned Peaches)

Add on Top

  • 1 cup cake mix or biscuit mix

  • ¼ cup melted butter

Cook 2–3 hours on LOW until topping is set.

Important Tips ⚠️

  • Don’t overcook → canned peaches soften quickly

  • Use peaches in juice, not heavy syrup, if you want less sweetness

  • For firmer texture, cook on LOW only

Flavor Variations

  • 🍯 Honey & ginger

  • 🍋 Lemon zest + vanilla

  • 🌰 Add pecans or almonds

  • 🌶️ Tiny pinch of cayenne for warmth

If you want, tell me:

  • Dessert or side dish?

  • Sweet or lightly spiced?

  • How many people you’re serving?

I’ll tailor it exactly to your slow cooker 😊
