chocolate-covered brownie bars

Posted on February 25, 2026 by Admin

Ah, chocolate-covered brownie bars — rich, fudgy brownies coated in smooth chocolate. 🍫✨ These are a crowd-pleaser and perfect for parties, snacks, or dessert. Here’s a simple way to make them:

Ingredients (Makes 12–16 bars)

Brownies

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup (175 g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for shine and smoothness)

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until combined.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder; fold gently until combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

2️⃣ Coat in Chocolate

  1. Melt chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Dip each brownie bar into the chocolate, or pour the chocolate over the bars and spread evenly.
  3. Place on parchment paper and let the chocolate set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Tips for the Best Bars

  • For extra fudgy bars, underbake by 2–3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of chocolate before it sets for a gourmet touch.
  • Store in an airtight container; chocolate-covered bars can last up to a week at room temp or longer in the fridge.

If you want, I can give a “one-bowl, no-mess” version that makes ultra-fudgy chocolate-covered brownie bars in under 30 minutes.

Do you want me to do that?
