Classic Mandarin Orange Salad

Posted on April 13, 2026 by Admin

Hereโ€™s a simple, refreshing Classic Mandarin Orange Saladโ€”sweet, creamy, and perfect for gatherings or a light dessert-style salad.

๐ŸŠ Classic Mandarin Orange Salad

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

Base

  • 1 can Mandarin orange (drained)
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1 package vanilla pudding mix (instant, about 3โ€“4 oz)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like whipped cream or Cool Whip)

Optional add-ins

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Shredded coconut
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Instructions

1. Mix the base

  • In a large bowl, combine:
    • mandarin oranges
    • crushed pineapple
  • Stir gently so the oranges donโ€™t break

2. Add pudding mix

  • Sprinkle in the dry vanilla pudding mix
  • Stir until everything is lightly coated and begins to thicken

3. Fold in whipped topping

  • Gently fold in whipped topping
  • Mix until creamy and smooth

4. Add extras (optional)

  • Stir in marshmallows, coconut, or nuts if using

5. Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 1โ€“2 hours
  • This helps flavors blend and texture set

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Serve

  • Cold, as a side dish or dessert salad
  • Great for BBQs, holidays, or potlucks

๐Ÿง  Tips

  • Drain fruit well to avoid watery salad
  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of whipped topping
  • Best eaten within 1โ€“2 days

If you want, I can also give you:

  • ๐Ÿ“ a strawberry version
  • ๐Ÿฅ— a โ€œno pudding mixโ€ healthier version
  • ๐ŸŽ„ or a holiday-style variation with cranberries and pecans
