Flaky Sausage & Cheese Crescent Rolls

Posted on April 28, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, flaky, and super satisfying way to make Sausage & Cheese Crescent Rolls at home:

🥐 Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 6–8 breakfast sausage links (or ½ lb ground sausage)
  • 4–6 slices cheddar cheese (or any melty cheese you like)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for brushing)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the sausage
    • If using links: cook them in a pan until browned and fully cooked.
    • If using ground sausage: cook and crumble, then drain excess grease.
  3. Prepare the dough
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  4. Add filling
Place a sausage (or spoonful of ground sausage) on the wide end of each triangle.
Add a strip or small piece of cheese on top.
  5. Roll them up
Roll from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling.
  6. Optional topping
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle garlic powder + parsley for extra flavor.
  7. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Add a scrambled egg inside for a full breakfast roll.
  • Try mozzarella, pepper jack, or even cream cheese for different flavors.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top before baking.

These come out buttery, crispy on the outside, and cheesy-savory on the inside—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even party appetizers.
