Here’s a freshly baked Apple Fritter Bread recipe—moist, cinnamon-swirled, and packed with apples 🍎🍞

Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients

Bread

  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled & chopped small

Glaze (optional but recommended)

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix cinnamon sugar: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Dry ingredients: Whisk flour and baking powder.
  5. Combine: Add flour mixture to wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  6. Layer:
    • Pour half the batter into the pan
    • Add half the apples and half the cinnamon sugar
    • Lightly swirl with a knife
    • Repeat with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool 15 minutes, then drizzle with glaze.

Pro Tips

  • Toss apples with a little lemon juice to prevent browning
  • For extra “fritter” vibes, add a pinch of nutmeg
  • Best served warm with coffee or vanilla ice cream ☕🍦
