Garlic and Herb Baked Potatoes

Posted on April 21, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, flavorful recipe for Garlic and Herb Baked Potatoes—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and full of aroma.

🥔 Garlic & Herb Baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (any baking variety)
  • 3–4 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary (or fresh, finely chopped)
  • Optional: paprika, chili flakes, grated parmesan

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep the potatoes

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes well
  • Pat dry
  • Poke a few holes with a fork (helps steam escape)

2. Make the garlic herb coating

Mix in a bowl:

  • olive oil or butter
  • minced garlic
  • salt, pepper
  • herbs (rosemary, oregano, etc.)

3. Coat the potatoes

  • Rub the mixture all over each potato
  • Make sure they’re evenly coated for maximum flavor

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Place potatoes on a baking tray
  • Bake for 45–60 minutes (depending on size)

✔ They’re done when a fork slides in easily and skin is crispy

5. Serve

  • Slice open
  • Fluff inside with a fork
  • Add toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, or extra herbs

💡 Tips for better results

  • For extra crispy skin, sprinkle a little salt directly on the outside before baking
  • Brush with butter halfway through baking for richer flavor
  • Use smaller potatoes for faster cooking and crispier edges

If you want, I can also show:

  • Air fryer version (faster + crispier)
  • Restaurant-style loaded garlic potatoes
  • Or a spicy version with chili and cheese

Just tell me 👍
