I don’t buy bread anymore – the easiest bread recipe without kneading or eggs!

Posted on February 14, 2026 by Admin

Love this kind of recipe 😊 — here’s an easy, no-knead, no-egg bread you can make with basic pantry ingredients.

🍞 Easiest No-Knead Bread (No Eggs)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp instant yeast (or ¾ tsp active dry yeast)
  • 1½ cups warm water (not hot)

That’s it. Four ingredients.

🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Mix
In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, and yeast.
Add warm water and mix with a spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
It will look sticky — that’s normal.

2️⃣ Rest (the magic step)
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel.
Let sit at room temperature for 8–12 hours (overnight works perfectly).

3️⃣ Shape
Lightly flour your counter. Turn dough out and gently fold it over itself 2–3 times.
Shape into a rough ball. No kneading needed.

4️⃣ Second Rest
Place on parchment paper. Cover and let rest 30–45 minutes.

5️⃣ Bake
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
Carefully place dough (with parchment) into the hot pot.
Cover and bake:

  • 30 minutes covered
  • 10–15 minutes uncovered (for a crispy crust)

Cool before slicing.

🔥 Why It Works

Long resting time develops gluten naturally — no kneading required.

🧄 Flavor Add-Ins (Optional)

  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for softer crumb

You’ll get:

  • Crispy crust
  • Soft, airy inside
  • Zero eggs
  • Almost no effort

If you want, I can give you a quick 1-hour version or a whole wheat version too.
