Macaroni salad is a creamy, comforting side dish that’s great for picnics, barbecues, or quick meals. Here’s a classic and easy version you can make at home. 🥗

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Macaroni (uncooked)
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup Celery (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup Red onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup Carrot (grated)
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped Parsley, boiled Egg, or Sweet pickle relish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta:
    Boil the macaroni in salted water until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
  2. Prepare the dressing:
    In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Combine:
    Add the cooled macaroni, celery, onion, and carrot to the dressing. Mix well until everything is coated.
  4. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30–60 minutes so the flavors blend.

Tips for the best macaroni salad

  • Let it chill longer for better flavor. ❄️
  • Add a little extra mayonnaise if it looks dry after chilling.
  • A small pinch of Sugar can balance the tanginess if you like a slightly sweet taste.
