Mosaic jelly

Posted on April 28, 2026 by Admin

Mosaic Jelly (also called stained glass jelly) is a colorful, creamy dessert made with cubes of flavored jelly set in a sweet milk base—simple, eye-catching, and perfect for parties.

🌈 Ingredients

For the jelly cubes:

  • 3–4 packs flavored jelly (different colors/flavors)
  • Water (as per package instructions)

For the creamy base:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • ¼ cup warm water (to bloom gelatin)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare colored jelly
Make each jelly flavor separately following package instructions.
Pour into shallow dishes and refrigerate until firm.
  2. Cut into cubes
Once set, cut jelly into small cubes and gently mix them together.
  3. Bloom gelatin
Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Make milk mixture
Warm the evaporated milk slightly (don’t boil), then stir in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
Add condensed milk and mix well.
  5. Assemble
Place mixed jelly cubes into a mold or dish, then pour the milk mixture over them.
  6. Chill
Refrigerate for 4–6 hours (or overnight) until fully set.
  7. Serve
Slice to reveal the beautiful mosaic pattern.

✨ Tips

  • Lightly oil the mold so it unmolds easily.
  • Use contrasting colors for a more vibrant look.
  • Add fruit (like mango or lychee) for extra flavor.

It’s creamy, slightly jiggly, and full of fruity bursts—kids especially love the colorful look!
