Oatmeal raisin cookie

Here’s a classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookie recipe—soft, chewy, and full of warm flavor. 🍪


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in rolled oats and raisins.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  9. Cool on a rack before serving.

  • Soak the raisins in warm water for 10 minutes before adding to keep them juicy.
  • Add Chopped Walnuts or Chocolate Chips for extra flavor.
  • Slightly underbake for chewier cookies.
