Oatmeal raisin cookie

Posted on March 22, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic recipe for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies—soft, chewy, and full of warm cinnamon flavor 🍪

🥣 Ingredients (makes ~24 cookies)

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 350°F (175°C)
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper

2. Cream Butter and Sugar

  • Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well

3. Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture

4. Add Oats and Raisins

  • Stir in oats and raisins until evenly distributed

5. Scoop and Bake

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheet (about 2 inches apart)
  • Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers still soft

6. Cool

  • Let cookies cool on sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack

💡 Tips for Perfect Cookies

  • Chewy: Slightly underbake and let cookies set on the tray
  • Extra flavor: Add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of orange zest
  • Soft: Use old-fashioned oats, not instant oats

If you want, I can also give a 10-minute “no-chill” version that’s soft, chewy, and ready to eat fast 😄

Do you want me to do that?
