Here’s a quick and indulgent recipe for Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls — perfect for breakfast, appetizers, or party snacks 🥐🌭

Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ lb (225 g) breakfast sausage (or cooked ground sausage)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

2. Cook the sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and cooked through.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Mix sausage with cream cheese, garlic powder, and herbs.

3. Assemble the crescent rolls

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll from wide end to point, tucking ends slightly to seal.

4. Optional egg wash

  • Beat 1 egg and brush over tops for a golden finish.

5. Bake

  • Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Spicy version: Add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the sausage mix.
  • Cheesy version: Sprinkle shredded cheddar or mozzarella over the filling before rolling.
  • Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate; bake right before serving.

If you want, I can also give a “party tray version” that makes 24 mini bites using the same recipe — perfect for gatherings.
