Seafood salad

Posted on April 1, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a fresh and simple seafood salad recipe that’s light, flavorful, and perfect as a starter or a main dish. You can use shrimp, crab, or a mix of seafood.

🥗 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

Seafood:

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat or imitation crab
  • ½ cup cooked calamari rings (optional)

Vegetables & Mix-ins:

  • 1 small cucumber, diced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small carrot, shredded
  • 2–3 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

Dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter version)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (more to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon paprika or chili flakes for mild spice

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare Seafood
    • If using raw seafood, boil or steam until fully cooked and chill.
    • Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix Vegetables
    • In a large bowl, combine cucumber, bell pepper, carrot, and onion.
  3. Make the Dressing
    • Whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  4. Combine Everything
    • Gently fold the seafood and vegetables into the dressing until well coated.
  5. Chill and Serve
    • Refrigerate 15–20 minutes before serving for best flavor.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or lemon wedges.

🍴 Tips

  • Use fresh or high-quality frozen seafood for the best taste.
  • Add a handful of avocado or cherry tomatoes for extra creaminess and color.
  • For a lighter version, replace mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.

If you want, I can give a “5-minute quick seafood salad” version that’s ready in under 10 minutes and doesn’t require cooking. It’s perfect for busy days.

Do you want me to share that quick version?
