Here’s a tender, flavorful recipe for Slow-Cooked Barbecue Pork Ribs 🍖🔥


🛒 Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Ribs

  • Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if present.
  • Pat ribs dry with paper towels.

2️⃣ Make the Dry Rub

Mix together:

  • brown sugar
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • salt and pepper

Rub the mixture all over the ribs.


3️⃣ Add to Slow Cooker

  • Cut the rack into sections if needed to fit.
  • Place ribs in the slow cooker.
  • Pour half the barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce over them.

4️⃣ Cook

  • Low: 6–7 hours
  • High: 3–4 hours

The ribs should become very tender.


5️⃣ Finish for Caramelized Sauce

For the best texture:

  1. Preheat oven broiler.
  2. Place ribs on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush with remaining barbecue sauce.
  4. Broil 3–5 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and slightly charred.
