🥩 Pork Chops with Onion Soup Mix

A super easy and flavorful way to cook pork chops is to use Onion Soup Mix as a seasoning. It gives the meat a savory, slightly sweet flavor and keeps it juicy.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 packet Onion Soup Mix (about 1 oz / 28 g)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or melted butter
  • Optional: 1/2 cup Water or Chicken Broth for extra moisture

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven or skillet

  • Oven: 375°F (190°C)
  • Skillet: Medium heat

2️⃣ Prepare the pork chops

  • Pat chops dry with a paper towel.
  • Brush both sides lightly with olive oil or butter.
  • Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over both sides.

3️⃣ Cook

  • Oven: Place chops in a baking dish, add water/broth if desired, cover with foil, bake 25–30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Skillet: Sear each side 4–5 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Cover for a few minutes to finish cooking if needed.

4️⃣ Rest and serve

  • Let chops rest 5 minutes before serving.
  • Optional garnish: Fresh Parsley

🍽️ Tips

  • For extra flavor, add sliced Onions or Mushrooms to the pan.
  • Serve with Mashed Potatoes, Rice, or roasted vegetables.
  • Using boneless pork chops reduces cooking time slightly.

If you want, I can also give you a slow-cooker version using onion soup mix that makes the pork chops melt-in-your-mouth tender.
